Alliance for Positive Change helps New Yorkers living with HIV and other chronic health conditions through health care, housing, behavioral health, coaching, and renowned Peer training and job placement programs that cultivate leadership and economic mobility. We are marking our 35th year by catalyzing positive change not just for the thousands of New Yorkers we serve every day, but for all New Yorkers. Help us celebrate by supporting our work!
Right now, Alliance for Positive Change is addressing the rising demand for access to everyday basic needs-whether that's seeing a doctor, getting a hot meal, or finding housing. Public health and safety-net funding faces cuts that will dramatically affect the lives of low-income New Yorkers. With expected cuts to public and food benefits, your support for our work is more crucial than ever.
Alliance's services meet people where they are with compassionate and non-judgmental support. In a year when public health and safety-net funding are under real strain, organizations like us are doing more with less and still growing our reach. We provide expedited linkages to medical care; treatment adherence support; HIV, hepatitis C, counseling, testing, and referral; supportive housing placement; food and nutrition services, and more to address the needs of New Yorkers.
Prevention and managed care are far more cost-effective than acute and emergency care. Just in 2025, we connected 4,900+ people to health insurance, served 47,000+ meals, reversed 187 overdoses, and our peer-training program is changing lives on both sides of the work. Services that provide healthcare navigation and resources reduce healthcare costs and improve overall health and well-being. Over our 35 years, we have impacted thousands of lives with pathways to positive change.
