In this last quarter of the year, schools have closed and students are out of schools for 2months. We have been engaging the targeted girls from the start of the year through different modules in Information and Computer Technology, leadership and life skills. The girls have also been privileged to have participated in reproductive health and mental health programs. This holiday, Sunflower is taking 26 girls through a one month life skills training, themed working with others. In this module, the girls learn to understand the environment and how to work with others than themselves. By the end of this period, the girls are able to cope with their emotions and also manage others.
Every week of the training has different topics dabbed (appreciation, explore, create and share) with an outcome of;
Sadly, we did not win a grant that would have allowed us to fund this program for three years. The good news is that we made it to the final cut of 6. so we really need any asistance you can offer this Christmas season. Theese girls will b ethe community leaders of tomorrow.
