Parkour Visions is sharing more than ever!

This Fall, we've really ramped up the Share part of our mission. First, we're in the middle of running a new, 13-week coaching certification program with a cohort of 8 apprentice instructors. The apprenticeship is pretty intensive, and the cohort has been attending special "how to teach parkour" classes, assisting regular academy classes, teaching 1-on-1 lessons to PKV students, helping clean up around the gym, and doing lots of homework :) This new program is a big improvement over our previous, less structured coaching certification program. The best part is that all of the participants are attending under 100% scholarship coverage! You can read more about it on PKVpedia.

Speaking of PKVpedia, we've been working hard to fill it with content, and it's ready for people to see! If you're interested in teaching parkour, building parkour equipment, or are wondering about the nitty gritty of starting some sort of parkour teaching business, check it out. We're adding content every week.

This past week, we posted detailed plans and a Sketchup file for the 36" vault boxes we build at PKV. With these plans, you should be able to build (or have a carpenter/contractor build) a solid, stable vault box. The plans are free to use on the PKVpedia Vault Box page.

But it's not all typing and making plans... we've been taking time to play, too! Just this past weekend, we ran a pair of Challenge Night obstacle events, one for adults, one for kids. We set up 8 challenges in the gym designed to test participants' ability in various parkour skills and speed courses. More than 60 adults and kids jumped and climbed with us!

We're grateful that your help has enabled us to do so many cool things, and we're extremely happy to be able to give back to the community by helping train people to teach parkour, sharing parkour construction knowledge, and running events for the local parkour community!

Thanks as always!
