This past Fall, fun has gotten serious at PKV as our students have been getting back to school (and back to work) after the long Seattle Summer. Happily, it means that we've got tons of students attending our classes as part of their weekly routines. We've taken the opportunity to expand our program, adding more classes and extending our freerunning curriculum. The dismal snow season in WA has meant that lots of students have gotten to train with us more often than they would have, otherwise... there is a silver lining after all :)
In October, we ran an Obstacle Challenge Night event at our Seattle location. We built and arranged a group of leveled challenges for participants of all ages (we ran a challenge night for adults and one for kids) to test their skill, strength, speed, and focus, and we saw participants meeting and exceeding the challenges we set. The images in this update are all from the kids challenge night, but you're only seeing a tiny slice of the obstacles, fun, and accomplishment. You'll have to show up at the gym next time we run and check it out.
This season, we've been working with a number of schools to introduce their students to parkour. We've done intro clinics and series at our Seatte facility, and we've visited a few schools and taught kids how they can train in the environment they're in all day. We've got a bunch more exciting school programs coming up in the Spring, are actively pursuing a few parkour park possibilities in and around Seattle, and are already looking forward to parkour camp season!
Thank you, as always, for your support and help growing our community.
Stop by the gym next time you're in Seattle, and keep training!
