Report Summary
Based on the intended objectives of this project initiative, the Parkinson's patients' support organization in Ethiopia, as always, is trying to address the primary challenges of Parkinson's patients and address their needs as per the resources allowed. As a result, during this reporting period, the organization provided a wide range of services, including phesiotherapy, rokboxing, and specialty therapy services delivered by professional experts. As the only organization working on this intervention, the organization provides services for about 45 PD patients who have movement and speech difficulties. Along with these services, about 80 bedridden PD patients have been visited by professional health officers and obtained appropriate care and support under home-to-home services.
Next Action:
The organization proposed to address those bedridden patients who are in desperate need of various assistive devices, such as a walking cane, a portable toilet, and wheelchairs, and keep providing various sanitary materials based on the resources mobilized through GlobalGiving from generous individuals.
