During this reporting period, Parkinson patients support organization Ethiopia had organize various patients to patient and caregiver training especially on empowering their family. In addition, for creating access to PD patients and their families and strengthening their psychological wellbeing. During this period, the following major activities have been accomplished:
- Consumable sanitary material for bedridden PD patients were provided
- Awareness raising and capacity building training were organized both for patients and their caregivers and families.
- Sanitation and maintenance training
- Underprivileged and low-income families were identified and support with cash for the holyday (As 11, Sep 2022 is the day for the Ethiopian New year) were getting a support of 500 ETB to contribute for the holyday expense.
Best Action Made during this reporting period.
As an organization, PPSOE were strengthen its commitment to address those bedridden patients by mobilizing well known and popular Ethiopian artists and the cultural and tourism bureau. As a result, more than 60 public figure individuals, artists, journalists, you tuber and TikToker’s were gathering together and visited some of those bedridden patients and beside of providing a home to home care and support service provided, PD patients and their caregivers psychological wellbeing.
