Good Cause Foundation remains committed to creating safe learning environments for girls. During this reporting period, significant progress was made in improving sanitation facilities through the construction of private girls-only latrines in partner schools.
Before this intervention, many girls lacked access to secure and hygienic sanitation facilities, causing discomfort and absenteeism. The newly constructed latrines provide privacy, safety, and dignity, particularly during menstruation. School administrators have reported increased confidence among female students and a reduction in school absences related to inadequate sanitation facilities.
The project also included awareness sessions on hygiene and proper use of sanitation facilities. Students learned the importance of handwashing, menstrual hygiene management, and maintaining clean school environments.
Community members participated in supporting construction activities, strengthening local ownership and sustainability. The improved facilities are benefiting hundreds of girls and will continue serving future generations of students.
We are grateful to our supporters for making these life-changing improvements possible and helping create a more inclusive educational environment for girls.
