We sincerely thank you for supporting our project, Pads for Progress: Keeping Ugandan Girls in School in Uganda. Your generosity continues to create a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable girls and young women.
Through donations received both on the GlobalGiving platform and from supporters outside the platform, we have successfully conducted reusable pad making trainings in different communities. So far:
- 20 girls have been trained in Jinja
- 30 girls have been trained in Mukono
- 25 girls have been trained in Tororo
The girls were trained on how to make reusable sanitary pads and educated on menstrual hygiene management. As a result, many of them are now living more hygienically, confidently, and comfortably within their communities while also reducing school absenteeism caused by lack of menstrual products.
This project is not only improving girls’ health and dignity, but also empowering them with practical life skills that can support them in the future.
