The Good Cause Foundation Girls Program continues to play a vital role in keeping girls in school and improving their overall well-being. By addressing key challenges such as limited access to menstrual hygiene products, inadequate sanitation facilities, and lack of reproductive health knowledge, the project is creating a supportive and enabling environment for girls to succeed.
The program focuses on training students as peer leaders in reproductive health, distributing sanitary pads to girls in school, and advocating for the construction of girls-only private latrines to ensure dignity and safety. In addition, girls and youth are equipped with entrepreneurial skills to locally produce reusable sanitary towels, promoting both accessibility and long-term sustainability within the community.
We are pleased to report that training activities are currently taking place, with participants actively engaged in learning about reproductive health, hygiene management, and entrepreneurship. This hands-on approach is empowering girls with knowledge, confidence, and practical skills that will help them stay in school and build brighter futures.
