Project Report: Pads for Progress – Keeping Ugandan Girls in School
We are proud to share progress on our project, Pads for Progress, which is dedicated to ensuring that girls in Uganda stay in school, are well-informed about their sexual and reproductive health, and gain pathways toward economic independence.
This project focuses on three key initiatives:
To achieve this, we continue to implement practical solutions such as supplying sanitary pads to menstruating girls, advocating for the construction of private “girls-only” latrines, and providing mentorship and health education through trained female health workers.
We are grateful to share that, so far, we have raised $21 toward this project. While this is a modest beginning, it represents an important step forward made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
In addition, we have successfully trained 50 girls in how to make reusable sanitary pads. Each participant was able to take home the pads they made, helping them manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence while reducing absenteeism from school.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the members and donors who have contributed to this cause. Your support is already making a difference in the lives of young girls.
As we continue this journey, we humbly invite more partners and supporters to join us. With your continued support, we can reach even more girls, keep them in school, and empower them with the knowledge and skills they need for a brighter future.
Thank you for standing with us.
