Dearest Valued Supporters,
The last school semester for 2015 is in full swing so while the children have been busy with their studies, Auntie Grace has been working on planting more crops on the land. Each and every child has reported to feel more secure when they are able to grow their own food. So until we are able to build on the land, we are using it in its entirety for subsistence farming. The crops should yield a good amount of food just in time for their long holiday from school (which goes from december till the end of January).
Ideally though, security for the children will come once we build them a place to call home. Right now they are still in a rented space, and it has been hard for them to settle in not knowing when they will be uprooted. Also, it is far from our land, so they cannot spend time in the garden like they all want to.
We do still need your help! Please help us to build on the land, to keep the children together, to give them a place to settle into and call home. This will be our first step to being able to reach out to the community and connect with more children who need support. Please share with your friends and family - the more support we get- the faster we can make this a reality for our children.
