The Help Us Create a Brighter Future for Los Diques! project focuses on strengthening educational, emotional, and community support for children and families in the Los Diques community. Through safe spaces, structured programming, and close community engagement, the project seeks to contribute to long-term well-being and opportunity for participants.
This reporting period reflects ongoing efforts to accompany children and families through consistent presence, trust-building, and access to supportive services within the community.
During this period, activities continued to center on:
Providing safe and consistent spaces for children and adolescents
Supporting educational and socio-emotional development
Strengthening relationships with families and caregivers
Maintaining the community center as a place where children feel welcomed, protected, and motivated to participate
The project team has remained present in the community, prioritizing continuity and responsiveness to the needs expressed by participants and families.
Families in Los Diques continue to face social and economic challenges that affect children’s access to safe environments, emotional support, and educational continuity. Having a consistent, trusted space within the community allows children and adolescents to:
Feel seen and supported
Build positive relationships with peers and adults
Develop skills and confidence over time
The project’s value lies not only in individual activities, but in the long-term presence and trust that has been built with the community.
