To our wonderful community of contributors, thank you so much for your ongoing support of Casa Hogar through GlobalGiving.
2021 has been a year of special challenges and great successes.
The academic year continued with school-from-home classes with our Caregivers filling in for the role of traditional teachers. We continued to see progress across the board with proficiency levels in reading, writing and math.
Several of our residents graduated Elementary School or Junior High. In July virtual graduation ceremonies were conducted.
Academic tutoring continues over the months of summer vacation with continued focus on essential topics as well as geography.
Our residents have been challenged to learn names and capitals for the 32 Mexican states. Next step is learning about international countries and cultures.
Our Caregivers have played an instrumental role and we continue to be pleased and impressed with their dedication. Several have had to miss time to attend to family members with COVID-19 or faced disability leaves themselves.
We have managed to redeploy staff members to attend to staffing needs ensuring a high level of supervision and care throughout the pandemic.
Your contributions are highly valued as they have allowed these staff needs to be fulfilled.
Thank you!
