Subhan, 16, grew up with his parents and younger sister in a single room in Mumbai, in a community where poverty often pushes children out of school and into work before they're old enough to understand what they're losing. He played barefoot on concrete streets, with no shoes, no proper ground and no real equipment. Bullied at school and scolded by neighbours for playing where he "shouldn't," he stood at the edge of negative influences with nowhere positive to turn.

Then a friend told him about OSCAR Foundation.

For the first time, Subhan trained on a real pitch, as part of a real team. OSCAR's "No School, No Football" rule gave him a reason to believe his education was worth fighting for. Life skills sessions and patient coaching slowly rebuilt him from the inside out, teaching him discipline, self-respect and the confidence to stand tall both on and off the field.

Today, the change is impossible to miss. Subhan scored 87% in his Class 10 board exams. He earned a place at OSCAR's residential camp for the Gothia Cup and was selected for OSCAR UK Tour 2025. This year, he's heading to Thailand to represent his team at the Asian Football Sevens League, an international youth tournament.
