Skills are Important to Earn

By Saira Falak | Project Documentation Officer

I am skilled
I am skilled

I am skilled enough to earn now. My name is Shumaila, few month ago I have completed B. Sc level education. After completion of my this level education, I tried level best to get job and earn at least some amount as a pocket money which means I don’t want to ask my parents for basic personal expenses. Because, I wanted to be independent and gradually started to search jobs. I applied at least 2 dozens jobs but could not get a job. Therefore, for at least 6 months I was unable to earn. In this situation, I saw a flyer at the Facebook page with regard to tailoring training by ARTS Foundation with the support of GlobalGiving. After consultation with the family, I have decide to apply for the training to be a tailor to earn as it could be done as part time even if got a job. After my application submission to ARTS Foundation I have been contacted by the ARTS Foundation team that your application for tailoring training has been shortlisted. Therefore, you may come for a short interview to finalize the selection process. After my final selection interview, I have been selected and started three months training at ARTS Foundation.

Indeed, it was great decision by me to learn tailoring to earn for my pocket money till get a job. It was great that ARTS Foundation has provided me a very enabling learning environment with good training instructor which enabled me to be a fine and sound tailoring master.

This is more than pleasure to share that I am able to earn through my tailoring skill which not enough only as a pocket money but I am saving some amount on monthly basis.

Very much thankful to ARTS Foundation as well as the philanthropists under the platform of GlobalGiving for extending for such initiatives online funding.
