On behalf of the orphans in Fundong Village, thank you so much for your support once again!
BERUDA will continue to proudly announce that you played a vital role in making our organization’s history by helping us secure a permanent place on the Global Giving fundraising portal!
This past summer was a busy one - since our last report, we purchased the remaining 31 goats for the orphans, as well as supplies for the primary-level children.
On September 4th, BERUDA invited the 20 primary-school children and their guardians to our office in Fundong to distribute the new school supplies, like uniforms, books and school bags. Our project coordinators have also been busy registering children and paying first-year school fees at various schools in the rural villages in Fundong area.
The children were overjoyed with the support received. Thank you to all who have given them hope for the future.
BERUDA’s field staff will continue promptly implementing the following actions:
Follow-up health of the 75 goats (50 females and 25 males) - Ongoing
Induct teachers to project details, reporting requirements and provide field worker contact for regular updates - September / October 2012
We delivered advice to the orphans and their guardians during field visit - Ongoing
Data collection—record schools, class level, teacher contact information on the output of the 25 orphans - Monthly
Hold one meeting with Orphans and one with the Orphans alongside with one to one counselling - November 2012
Profile orphans who are really in need of help to attend school but are unable for next academic year 2013/2014 - Ongoing
Monitoring and evaluation and the next report - December 2012
The BERUDA team continues to appreciate your dedicated support and we, on behalf of the 25 children and their caregivers who have received the gift of a rich and full education, continue saying thanks to you.
