Orion Orchestra
About the Project
The project aims to introduce students to the violin, viola, and cello, offering basic knowledge, correct posture, and their first contact with the instrument through the active method. Classes were organized into groups of 6 to 15 participants, at beginner and intermediate levels, ensuring close guidance and gradual development.
The lessons included technical foundations, introductory music reading, and simple repertoires, enabling students to develop coordination, intonation, and musicality. Throughout the process, they progressed to expressive elements appropriate to their level.
Progress and Inspiration
Students showed consistent progress and increased confidence, motivated especially by the example of their peers who are part of the Orquestra Orion, an ensemble that performs at an advanced level and works with diverse repertoires ranging from classical to pop, including film scores and Brazilian popular music.
The Orchestra represents a concrete example of excellence and a real future possibility, encouraging beginner and intermediate students to persevere and envision their own path toward this advanced level.
Activities and PerformancesBetween August and November, 14 events were held in the region of São José dos Campos and São Paulo.
The highlight of the year was the performance at Sala São Paulo, which featured the presence of Maestro João Carlos Martins, reinforcing the cultural and educational impact of the project and expanding the students’ artistic horizons.
