About the project:
The course seeks to provide the learner with basic knowledge of fretted string instruments, which are: violin, viola and cello. In addition, the active method is used, which seeks to establish the first contact between student and instrument, starting the musical learning process.
Goal:
Know the instruments with fretted strings;
Learn the correct posture, how to hold the instrument and the bow;
Initiation to the violin method - Suzuki;
Initiation to reading sheet music;
Study of musical repertoire;
The students participating in the project dedicated themselves to the activities planned over the months, with enthusiasm and commitment. The project was structured to offer a comprehensive and gradual learning experience, ensuring that each student could progress according to their capabilities and pace.
Class schedule:
Collective classes: Classes were organized in groups made up of 6 to 15 students, divided between beginners and intermediates. This division allowed for a more targeted and appropriate approach to the needs and skill levels of each group, ensuring better use of classes.
1st part of the class: Basic technique exercises
At this stage, students performed fundamental exercises for the development of musical technique, such as scales, open strings and bow strokes. These exercises are essential for improving motor coordination, precision and familiarity with the instrument.
2nd part of the class: Technical methods
After the basic exercises, the students began to study specific technical methods, which varied according to the level of each group. This part of the class was focused on deepening performance techniques, aiming to improve sound quality and musical interpretation.
3rd part of the class: Repertoire
In the last part of the class, students worked on the musical repertoire. This stage was dedicated to the practice of varied musical pieces, allowing students to apply the techniques learned in the previous parts and develop musicality, artistic expression and interpretation of different musical styles.
Throughout the classes, students had the opportunity to interact, exchange experiences and learn from each other, promoting a collaborative and enriching environment. Each student's progress was continually monitored and evaluated, ensuring everyone received the support they needed to overcome challenges and achieve their musical goals.
