CSEF (College Skateboarding Educational Foundation) awards College Scholarships to Skateboarders that are studying in the U.S.
Skateboarders are some of the most adaptive and self-motivated people in the world. They build problem-solving skills, confidence and community long before they ever step onto a campus. But because their achievements usually happen outside of sanctioned programs, most scholarship systems overlook them.
Aside from CSEF, no other organization offers college scholarship assistance to skateboarders, members of a tribe uniquely positioned to change the world around them. Traditional gatekeepers don't recognize the learning, leadership or creativity that skateboarding produces. CSEF fills that gap: backing students whose skills and potential come from concrete, not classrooms, and helping them turn those strengths into opportunity.
CSEF has now supported scholars who are thriving across the fields of engineering, the arts, science, medicine and more. Their accomplishments speak for themselves, but our need continues to grow. More skateboarders are applying, and we're committed to meeting them with the financial support that they deserve. We receive 250-300 applications per year and are only able to fund ~30 recipients. Our overhead is low, and more money directly translates to greater amounts in our scholarship checks.
