New Shelter for Sex Trafficking Survivors Update

By Becky Davis | Associate Director of Operations

While we navigate the continued limitations that this season imposes on our aftercare home and around east Java, our team has found ways to bring life and delight to Grace House through various learning activities, onsite festivities and virtual fellowships shared even thousands of miles apart. With the holiday travel and family gathering challenges many of our team members discovered real joy and a unique gift in sharing Christmas and the New Year with our girls at Grace House.

Recently, one resident transitioned home, premature of how we had hoped. However, shortly after we welcomed a recent graduate from our other aftercare home to intern at Grace House during her mid-year break from college. Our other resident steadily continues to make more and more progress seeing more possibilities for her own future and for her 8 month old baby girl. Over the past several months she has discovered a love for art, make-up and clothing design while maintaining dedication to her studies this new year. In the last few months we also welcomed a couple of much needed staff members, a new house mom and a new operations and security team member. Thank you for your support, we are truly grateful to you and hope that you find much joy in this new year of 2021!
