It takes so little....on a small house only about $100....to change the health, welfare and comfort of a family living in extreme poverty. Dirt floors are impossible to clean and harbor paracites as well as biting bugs. A cement floor is an amazing improvement and a subject of much pride. Families choose the color of their floor, with red being a distinct favorite, and (when at all possible) contribute 1/4 of the price. For some families, it is literally impossible to save enough, and GHA has gifted. We thank our donors for subsidizing the remainder.
