Spring is Guatemala brings refreshing showers and fragrant flowers on the coffee bushes.
Guatemala Housing Alliance is committed to making lives a little easier for families in the highlands around Lago de Atitlan. Currently, our floor building continues and wood conserving, vented stoves are being built.
Most of the energy of our wonderful team (pictured herein) is directed towards education. We sponsor the educations of 54 students this year, 10 at university level. Additionally, we have workshops for all of their mothers in which they have been building solar dehydraters, as well as studying about mental health.
We now have 4 preschool classes, offering disadvantaged kids a head start on their education, and 6 tutoring classes per week to help older kids succeed.
