Raising the necessary funds to break ground on our project has been quite slow since we started the project. We understand that with the difficult economic situation people are facing globally, and the fact that there is so much need for help throughout the world we are all competing for these life saving dollars. We decided that we need to implement new strategies to obtain faster results.
We are soliciting corporations and private foundations to join us as partners on the project. We own the land, the design and plan is already done. Most importantly we already have decided on the materials to build the center.
We will be using a lot of bamboo as the main building material which is a renewable resource. (see pictures for details.) and of course all other materials and systems will be sustainable.
The first phase we are building will be building the Volunteer village which will help us get many volunteers from various Universities to assist us on the project.
The location of our project is a perfect one, only 45 miles from Port-au-Prince. Very accessible.
We would like to encourage and inspire all GlobalGiving visitors to take a look at our project and support it. We are a non-profit 501 (c ) 3 tax exempt organization registered in the State of Florida for more than 20 years.
The center will include a seed bank, a nursery which will be available to all to reforest Haiti as well as important classes and training on urgent environmental issues. Without the proper funding we cannot reach our goal. We are asking visitors to the GG site to please help.
Peace & Blessings
