Education opens doors to opportunity, but girls need supportive conditions to make the most of their learning experiences. Access to nutritious food is an important part of creating those conditions.
In rural Uganda, some families struggle to meet their children's daily food needs while also managing school expenses and other household responsibilities. For vulnerable schoolgirls, this can create additional difficulties as they pursue their education.
The Girl Child Foundation Uganda (GIFU) believes that supporting girls means recognizing the connection between nutrition, wellbeing, and learning. Through our Nutritious School Meals for Girls in Rural Uganda project, we are seeking donor support to help address food-related barriers affecting vulnerable learners.
Your contribution can help support essential food supplies and strengthen efforts to create a more nurturing school environment. By investing in school meals, you are supporting more than immediate needs; you are helping build a foundation for girls to pursue their ambitions.
Help us turn compassion into opportunity. Donate today and invest in the future of rural girls.
