EMPOWERING GIRLS THROUGH FOOD AND EDUCATION

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Donors and Supporters,

Your generosity continues to empower girls in rural Uganda by providing one of the most important foundations for learning: access to nutritious food.

During this reporting period, girls supported through the project received healthy school meals that improved their ability to focus, participate, and remain in school. For many of these girls, poverty and food insecurity pose daily challenges that threaten their educational journey. Thanks to your support, they are receiving the nourishment needed to learn and thrive.

Teachers have reported increased attendance, improved concentration, and greater classroom engagement among beneficiaries. Girls who once struggled with hunger are now participating more actively in lessons and school activities. Parents have also expressed gratitude, noting that the project has eased financial pressures on their households while encouraging their daughters to stay in school.

Beyond addressing immediate nutritional needs, this project is helping build confidence and hope. Every meal served sends a powerful message to girls that their education matters and that their dreams are worth pursuing.

While challenges such as rising food costs continue to affect vulnerable communities, your support is ensuring that girls have a better chance of completing their education and achieving their potential.

Thank you for investing in the future of rural girls. Together, we are creating opportunities that will benefit families, communities, and future generations.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Girl Child Foundation Uganda
