Thank you very much for your support. We continue working for our colombian children. We are going to update you with information about our programmes and activities.
The nutritional programme continues helping colombian children with chronical desnutrition. All children receive a nutritional assessment and those with higher-risk states are individualized to emphasize their attention, making an individualized support both children and their families, in order to identify what is affectig them. This semester, 28 children were individualized, with monthly monitoring anthropometric measurements, medical monitoring, home visits, parent workshops and adequate food. 10 of these children were removed from the program due to a move or availability of parental time. Of those who continued, 59% improved their nutritional status, their attention and energy, and the other will continue receiving individualized support to ensure their recovery.
Besides, we are working hardly in our cross-program nutrition for peace, in which the emphasis is on creating a safe, loving and stimulating place, where children can express themselves peacefully and feel accepted and supported with their differences. With this project, we are trying to create an educational space where they can choose different activities according to their interests and feel involved in this enviroment.
Aditionally, we are working with Chevrolet Foundation on the recovery of La Perla Park, adjacent to one of our centers. Our objective is that children have a clean and safe place where they can play and enjoy with their families.
Also, we are setting up a training and employability project for our mothers. With the support from SENA, a government entity, we are training 25 mothers in order to contact them with a hotel chain in Colombia and Crepes y Waffles, a colombian restaurant. On the other hand, we just began a partnership with L'Oreal, to train and support five moms in beauty training.
Finally, we achieve mutual aid agreement with the Mayor of Usaquén and ICBF towards breastfeeding.
Thanks for your cooperation and support. This is essencial for the development and welfare of children in vulnerable conditions.
