This project helps provide food to elderly people who remain in the dangerous city of Kherson, which faces daily shelling. They have stayed in their hometown despite the danger and now need our support. We want to make sure they have the essentials - food, care, and the feeling that they are not forgotten.
Kherson is one of the most dangerous cities in Ukraine and continues to face daily shelling and attacks. Despite the ongoing danger, many elderly residents remain in the city, often because they have nowhere else to go or lack the resources and physical ability to relocate. Many older people live alone and depend on limited pensions. Constant attacks, damaged infrastructure and restricted access to shops make it increasingly difficult for them to obtain enough food and other basic necessities.
This project will provide 1,000 elderly and vulnerable residents of Kherson with food parcels. Let's Help Charitable Foundation, together with the Brotherhood of Kind Hearts Foundation, will purchase and deliver assistance directly to people who need it most. Each parcel contains 29 essential food items plus a box. Priority will be given to elderly people living alone, people with limited mobility, and those with low incomes.
This project will help reduce food insecurity among elderly people in Kherson and support their basic well-being and dignity. Beyond immediate food assistance, we aim to strengthen a reliable support network for people who remain in this dangerous city. This will help ensure that they are not left alone and can continue receiving essential assistance even in extremely difficult conditions.
