Nourish 25 families in Mexico's mountain ranges

Greetings, and thank you again for your support Fundación Ayú A.C.

Last month we organized our traditional Christmas Bazaar where beneficiaries of the organization participate in selling products that elaborate in their small entrepreneurs; the Bazaar is organized in two different places:

México City in the installations of Fundación Ayú where the beneficiaries send their products from their communities and some of them come to expose and sell. The beneficiaries are people that have been working with us for several years and started with a backyard system that has been evolute into a social enterprise where some of the excedents of the backyard production, processed goods, or handicrafts are now the family support, in the region there is a lack of natural products but with the correct capacitation, they can use the available resources to create an income for their families and the communities, per example in the Bazaar the offered products of the producers are egg, tomato, salt, nopales, rebozos, huipiles, cookies, bread, chocolate, honey, mezcal and other goods of the region.

The second Bazaar is placed in the city of Huajuapan de León in Oaxaca México, where it's the operations center of Fundación Ayú and is located the Capacitation Center, we established another Bazaar there because the beneficiaries and small producers do not are so big to leave their communities for a long time. They also sell their products but here, each one of the producers goes and presents their products like fresh honeycombs, fresh flavored water, tamarind candies, fresh homemade bread, plants, pots, homemade liquors, and woven textiles.

The Bazaar is a highlight of the producers that had been working through the years in the development of their capabilities. This year we are improving the application of the backyard project guiding it to reinforce the nutrition of families and communities, with the help of nutritionists that will be visiting the communities and giving advisory to the families in the best method to take advantage of the harvest of the backyard system.

We want to thank all of our supporters for believing in this project and in the change that we can make in the communities of Oaxaca. This project had been developing for more than 28 years and we are making betters to improving the impact of their application.
