Tornadoes of varying intensities and severe flooding have devastated many cities & towns in Texas such as Wimberley, Blanco, San Marcos, Bastrop, and Van. This has brought about a Major Disaster Declaration by the President; however, many survivors do not qualify for assistance. Parts of Texas remain challenged; it is a volatile unstable season. Do Your Part will assist in the recovery process in order to bring survivors back to sustainability.
The problem is getting help to all those that do not qualify for assistance by the declared Disaster Declaration. In every disaster there are survivors that do not have insurance or have insufficient coverage, and many, because they rent, do not qualify for help. Survivors have lost everything and many get lost in the system, which are usually the ones in need of the most assistance.
Do Your Part and it's partners will work to find the under served and most vulnerable. We will assess, verify, case manage, and assist in bringing survivors the assistance that is needed
This fundraiser supports Do Your Part's work along with that of our partners, and the local organizations; these organizations are the first on the scene and the last to leave sometimes years later. These funds will go to identify and aid the most vulnerable during the long road towards recovery and sustainability.
