All disasters are emotionally draining, but when the clean up, repairs, and rebuilds overlap into the holiday seasons it causes a deeper depression in the lives of too many survivors. In one particular town, Bastrop, it is deja vu. Many towns are still in need of help, but this one town suffered a loss of 1673 homes in 2011 from one of this countries largest fires. Some of these same homes not to mention the men, women and children's lives that were once again touch by yet another devastating disaster.
We thank all of you who have reached out and gererously given to assist these people, we still need your help to get the word out as we start to prepare for the holidays in these communities that have been affected. Skilled volunteers are still needed in these ares, for a week at a time if anyone is interest or a group would like to help out please email Schlene@doyourpart.org.
Thank you again for your help and a thank you to Global Giving who allow us to come together to make a difference.
