Can’d Aid’s People Powered Do-Goodery Reaches 95 Communities and More Than 3,000 Kids
Dedicated Volunteers and Generous Partners Fuel Can’d Aid’s Most Impactful Year Yet
Can’d Aid, a publicly funded national nonprofit based in Colorado, continued to push the boundaries with innovative programs and nontraditional methods, which yielded impressive results in 2019. Individual donors, grants, earned income and corporate partners brought in a total of $1.1 Million last year, allowing the organization to spread its people powered do-goodery to 95 communities across the nation.
Can’d Aid made a big impact in 70 Title I schools, donating 1,000 instruments to music programs and providing new bicycles, skateboards and helmets to 1,687 students. Mother Earth also benefited greatly from Can’d Aid projects in 2019, as volunteers worked to cleanup and restore 10 waterways across the country, removing 2,690 pounds of trash and recycling 183 pounds of waste.
The impact of Can’d Aid’s Tunes program grew exponentially in 2019, as the program added 10 bands to its growing roster of ambassadors who help inspire the next generation of musicians through instrument donations and music workshops with underserved youth around the country. This year, Can’d Aid also launched an exciting creative partnership with Rock and Roll Playhouse, a national concert series for families. Rock and Roll Playhouse donates a portion of every concert ticket sold to Can’d Aid’s Tunes program and the two organizations look forward to what the collaboration will bring in 2020.
