This season, Nest has continued its work to prevent violence by helping young people build stronger connections—with themselves, with each other, and within their communities. Our programs focus on the everyday skills that make prevention possible: listening, empathy, respect, and understanding.
When young people feel connected and valued, they are less likely to cause harm and more likely to step in when someone else is at risk. Through classroom lessons, educator trainings, and family engagement, we’re helping schools and communities create cultures of care where those protective behaviors can grow.
We’ve seen remarkable changes when connection becomes the foundation of prevention. Students begin to look out for one another. Teachers report calmer, more respectful environments. Families share that they feel more capable of having honest, supportive conversations at home.
These small shifts add up to something powerful—a movement toward safer, more compassionate communities. Every conversation, every moment of understanding, and every act of kindness helps interrupt the patterns that lead to harm.
We’re deeply grateful for your continued support. Your generosity allows us to reach more schools, train more educators, and continue building a culture of connection where young people can grow, lead, and thrive—free from violence.
