With the year coming to an end, families and friends come together and reflect on the past year. We have so much for which to be thankful, and it is hard not to include our Nepali family in the villages of Tipling, Shertung and Lapa in our thoughts.
Here at GlobeMed, we are always working with an eye towards the future, so when we do take pause, seeing what we have accomplished amazes even us! In 2013 GlobeMed effectively raised $32,000 for Himalayan HealthCare with your support!
This money went directly towards healthcare, education, building cook stoves and latrines, and income generation projects, such as providing families with goats! In these villages, it is incredible to see how far a little can go and how simple changes can have such a dramatic, positive impact on a community.
I thank you all for the generosity you have shown during the past year and look forward to continuing our partnership into 2014! We have some exciting, new events happening in Boulder this spring as we expand our education efforts within our own community to raise awareness about health disparities across the world.
To stay current on all of our upcoming events, or if you would like to make a donation, please visit globemedcu.org for more information!
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy holiday! In solidarity,
Ellie
