By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Greetings and thank you very much for your kind assistance to our initiative to provide safe sanitation for poor families in Nepal. This time, we are able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our low-cost latrine system using the design we are promoting in the Philippines with families affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The only difference is that Nepali prefer squat toilet bowl while in the Philippines the toilet bowl is seat-type. We are trying to engage some other international NGO's operating in Nepal for them to adopt our design. Right now we are linking-up with the Samaritan's Purse and the Singapore Red Cross. While we are doing this, we continue to distribute hygiene kits with our local partner as the leader, the Visionary Youth Initiative Foundation in Nepal. This reporting period we were able to distribute a total of 115 hygiene kits.
Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
