We have been keeping our residents and clients engaged with many activities and staffing changes.
A longtime Nurse and an Occupational Therapist moved on, so we have been busy hiring. Our new Executive Director, Mary Rita, started this week. She is ready to hit the ground running and we are so excited to have her onboard! We also welcome to the NHCP team a new nurse, Debby. She comes to us with lots of experience and great ideas. We are so lucky to have these two on our team.
Our clients and residents have been busy with many holidays over the past couple months. From Valentine’s making to Easter Egg dyeing, there is no shortage of activities. NHCP Occupational Therapist, Nicole, has started a seated yoga class. She uses all your senses to practice yoga. For example, in her first meeting, she brought in different essential oils for participants to smell, react and enjoy the positive attributes of each one.
There have been many outings as well. From a trip to the mountain to play in the final snow of the season to the art museum for the new Rodin exhibit to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for the awesome Lego exhibit, our clients and residents have been busy seeing all the area offers.
Because of donors, we can offer these outings to our clients and residents, creating the opportunity for them to being active and engaged in the community. Thank you!
