Our NHCP clients and residents have been very active the last few months with the weather being so nice. We had our annual Barbeque at Blue Lake. Clients and residents played corn hole and ate hot dogs and burgers, while enjoying the sun and being out of their daily routine. We could not offer experiences for our residents and clients like this without our Quality of Life budget. We use this budget to provide opportunities for our clients and residents to get out and about, and experience activities that help them define what quality of life means to them. These outings and activies help take their minds off of their daily struggles. Also, in July, our clients and residents went bowling and to a movie.
In June, was the NW Pride Parade. Our House had over 50 representatives walking in the parade including clients and residents. It was so great walking down the parade and hearing people cheering for us and the services we provide. One spectator yelled, “Thank you for the many years of support to the community and your one of a kind services that you provide. This community loves you!” It was hard not to smile and celebrate on the gorgeous June day.
