Bibata wants to thank you, and all GG donors to this project, for your support for a noon meal for village girls who are students at the Lycee Modern de l’Amitie (middle/secondary school) in northern Burkina Faso. A noon meal of rice, beans or pasta means the world to these students. This year, 400 students from subsistence farming families are enrolled in this school, and face the challenge of finding a place to live and food to eat while they pursue their educations. Under such harsh conditions, these girls have been remarkable: each year since the school opened in 2005, students at this school have scored 2-3 times higher on national year-end exams than their peers regionally and nationally. Bright and highly-motivated village girls, from subsistence farming families, who have been given an opportunity to learn!
Thank you for your past and continued support, providing deserving middle/secondary students like Bibata their main meal of the day and enabling them to pursue their educations.
