The Centre for Faith and Community Development (CFCD) in partnership with NAPPS and The Ivorgba Center supported the Leadership Training for newly-elected Executive Council (Exco) and Members of the Elder Forum of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Jos South Chapter, Plateau State. The training, which focused on leading people and organizations and leading change, essential for navigating the complexities of today's dynamic and ever-changing environment. was held on October 17, 2024. The Resource Person was Dr. Prince Charles Dickson, Team Lead of Tricenter, Leadership Coach & Development Expert.
Key areas covered during the leadership training included:
vUnderstanding Leadership Styles: Exploring different leadership styles and identifying which style works best in different situations.
vLeading People: Developing skills in effective communication, conflict resolution, team building, and motivation techniques to inspire and lead a diverse group of individuals.
vManaging Organizations: Learning about strategic planning, organizational culture, decision-making processes, and effective delegation to successfully manage and grow the organization.
vLeading Change: Understanding the dynamics of change management, overcoming resistance to change, and developing strategies to implement and sustain change initiatives.
vBuilding Emotional Intelligence: Developing self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills to effectively lead and influence others.
vEthical Leadership: Emphasizing the importance of ethical behavior, integrity, and accountability in leadership roles.
