New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation, a Jos, Nigeria-based national nonprofit is partnering with Peace Initiative Network (PIN), on a project titled “Strengthening Community Resilience and Engaging Relevant Stakeholders in the Prevention of Violence and Recruitment to Extremists Groups in Northern Nigeria”, from January – December 2018.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen community resilience to violence and recruitment to extremist groups in Northern Nigeria through income generating and peacebuilding activities and increased collaboration of peacebuilding CSOs. Project activities include:
Peace Initiative Network is a voluntary nongovernmental, non-profit making, non-partisan in politics and religion, charitable organization dedicated to the promotion of peace, unity and harmony in Nigeria, Africa and among the nations and regions of the world. The organization functions as a catalyst, and think-tank for public policy input
In line with this, we have started Peace Education Clubs (PECs) in five (5) High Schools in Jos, Plateau State.
