The year started with a lot of rains. Since our Center was built at a lower level, the drainage has been a big problem, but we thank our Area Chief who mobilized the community around to come and dig a big drainage tank; and we hope this will help us when other rains will come.
We thank all our donors who enabled us throughout 2015. We managed to keep our children in School because we had enough food. We also managed to buy uniforms for a few children who did not have any. We have renewed our MOU with our local clinic for the ARVs; as they give these to our children at a half price.. We have purchased old computers so that our children can also learn how to operate computers. We have engaged a contractor who is doing the wiring so that we can be connected to electricity, although the electricity itself is not stable.
In our last report, we said that our children were sitting for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. We are proud to report that we had 12 candidates who sat for this examination and 8 of them have been taken by the Public Secondary Schools. This is a very big achievement for Mzesa! The remaining 4 were taken to private owned secondary schools.
All the above happens because of our dear donors. One of our child. Sharon Malala, a lame girl, who is also on ARV said quote "When God blesses people, I pray that he bless all those that are helping me too. These people have given me my life, my life is back, I can go to school, am like a normal person, I can wear uniform and I can manage to read and write. Surely God, …..God bless them" unquote.
We take this precious opportunity to thank all our donors who have given towards this noble work. We don’t take this for granted, we know you have other work you could have done with your money, but you give because you have love at your heart and you believe in us. Again, thank you very much and we would appreciate to hear from you for any advice. God bless you and your families.
