FACING CHALLENGES

By Zipporah Sangiluh | Project Manager

During this quarter, there were many challenges which really needed courage.   Many children needed uniforms and games kits.  Teachers  had to work extra hours in order to coach our Std 8  pupils who are preparing for  Kenya Primary examination at the end of this year.   Since we have registered with MYSA,  our Games teachers (Christine and  Richard) had to work hard to see that children have to go to the field when games time is allocated so that they participate in all games and football. All these needed teachers devotion in order to accomplish these.

We had visitors from Detol Company who gave us lectures on hygiene.  and distributed  DETOL SOAPS to all children and teachers.

We also received visitors from OXFORD PUBLISHERS  who distributed  exercise books, pencils, pens and chalks.   We also received a “well-wisher” who distributed clothes to all children who do not have clothes.

We had an educational tour to  Umoja which was very successful and enjoyable to all teachers and pupils.  All these events were happening while our Project Manager/Trustee. Zipporah was sick and confined on her bed.  But the school management  made sure that they inform her of  every development on day to day progress.

The school closed and now opening with a lot of challenges too as  this third term is tough with exams, which means that we must have enough food to take us through this period  pf pre-examinations and National Examination to avoid children running away before they sit for them.

We really thank all of you to have put this school and the pupils to your hearts.  May God bless the works of your hands as you extend  your generosity to them.

God bless you.
