We have probably gone through the busiest season with the two biggest celebrations here, Christmas & Lunar New Year.
We're back for another year of empowering women, raising awareness, and providing educational scholarships to the children of women who are survivors of gender-based violence at HopeBox. We're looking forward to growing our team, increasing our partnerships, and of course, selling some of the tastiest treats one can buy in Hanoi! As always, we wouldn't be here without your support.
The different challenges and thus exposure to such vulnerabilities that GBV survivors have means that they require specific business development services to progress. At HopeBox, we work towards equality and professional development. Work-based therapy at HopeBox is seen as a positive enabling tool. We’ve kept all of our HopeBox team employed for the entire duration of the past year and will continue to empower them in 2021.
Like many countries around the world dealing with COVID-19, Vietnam experienced a drastic surge in violence against women. This continues. Whilst many of our lives here in Vietnam have returned to normal, many are still experiencing unemployment and economic insecurity which further exacerbates gender-based violence. That’s why it’s so vital HopeBox can remain in operation. The different challenges and thus exposure to such vulnerabilities that GBV survivors have means that they require specific business development services to progress.
In the past few months, our women's capability and artistic skills truly took us to the next level. We're beyond proud to announce that our HopeBox Cookies will now be stocked at AEON MALL around Vietnam. This partnership has been months in the making and is a milestone for HopeBox. We are also thankful to our continuous partners including Cafe YEN, Simple Coffee, Better World & Era Cafe for stocking our products. Being able to upskill and develop new products line is a therapeutic way for our women while they integrated into a new working environment post-trauma.
Thank you for the hope throughout our journey of making a difference in the lives of many women we have the privilege to support.
