We bring live music, theatre, and psychological support to 2,000 children, adults, and seniors displaced by the 2026 earthquake in Vargas and Caracas. Led by 2023 Latin Grammy winner Huascar Barradas, we use concerts, creative activities, and music education to reduce anxiety, restore hope, and rebuild community. On June 24, 2026, a powerful earthquake devastated parts of Vargas State and affected many neighborhoods in Caracas. Thousands of people are now living in temporary camps with few resources. While some physical aid has arrived, survivors, especially children and older adults, are suffering from deep emotional trauma, anxiety, grief, and fear. There is very limited access to psychosocial support, music, arts, or safe spaces that help them process their pain and recover hope.
This project brings live music, theatre, guided recreation, and basic psychological support directly into temporary camps, schools, and shelters in Vargas and Caracas. Through concerts, storytelling, games, meditation, and breathing exercises, survivors can sing, move, and connect in a safe, caring environment. Led by trained artists and mental health professionals, these activities help reduce anxiety and stress, restore a sense of community, and support emotional recovery after the earthquake.
This project can create lasting emotional and social resilience in communities affected by the 2026 earthquake. By giving children, adults, and seniors ongoing access to music, arts, and psychological support, we help reduce longterm trauma, depression, and anxiety. Music education and donated instruments offer positive routines and skills for young people. Strengthened community bonds, restored hope, and improved mental health will support a healthier, more united recovery over time.
