The Virgin Islands Children's Museum is excited to introduce its newest program made possible through the GlobalGiving Museum Inclusion Fund: a weekly, hands-on creative art class for youth of all ages and skill levels throughout Fall 2026. Led by art teacher Ms. Guthrie, this launch provides an accessible, welcoming environment for children to explore artistic expression, develop fine motor skills, and engage with their local community.

To eliminate financial barriers for participating families, this new initiative is fully subsidized through the fund and included at no extra cost with general museum admission or membership.

Program Specifications

  • Schedule: Sundays (Fall 2026) | 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

  • Target Audience: Open to all ages and experience levels

  • Capacity & Entry: Open drop-in format (no class size limit or pre-registration required)

How Fund Dollars Support This New Initiative

As the newest project under our Museum Inclusion Fund umbrella, donor contributions directly power the vital elements that make this class possible free of charge with admission:

  • Dedicated Instruction: Covers fair compensation for our art teacher, Ms. Guthrie, ensuring consistent, high-quality instruction.

  • Art Materials & Supplies: Fully funds paints, brushes, canvases, clay, paper, protective gear, and clean-up supplies required for weekly projects.

  • Program Operations: Sustains facility preparation and material replenishment, allowing us to offer open, barrier-free access to all visiting families.

Key Performance & Impact Metrics

  • Accessibility & Equity: Removes financial barriers for our newest program, ensuring high-quality extracurricular arts education is accessible to all visiting families.

  • Open Participation: Eliminating pre-registration requirements and capacity caps encourages maximum community engagement and flexible drop-in attendance.

  • Ongoing Community Support: As part of an ongoing campaign, continuous contributions to the Museum Inclusion Fund sustain this class and pave the way for future inclusive programs.

Thank you to our dedicated community and donors for making this new program a reality. The Museum Inclusion Fund GlobalGiving Museum Inclusion Fund (Project #65995) is an ongoing campaign, and your continued generosity ensures we can maintain free, accessible programming and expand future creative initiatives for the youth of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
