Dear Friend,
You subscribed to email updates from Support specialist nurses for people with MS by Multiple Sclerosis Trust, a project on GlobalGiving. Here's the unedited update from the field:
Funding new MS specialist nurses in the UK
Our MS specialist nurses work tirelessly to ensure that people with MS receive the personal, expert care and support they need. Over 3,600 people with MS in the UK are cared for by our funded MS nurses. Our nurses offer direct support, clinical advice, and the ability to connect MS patients to other services, such as a doctor or a therapist.
Recent MS nurse programmes in Bradford, Lanarkshire and Leicester have achieved significant results that help to demonstrate the undeniable, positive difference MS nurses are making for people living with MS in the UK. These include;
The specialist care our MS nurses provide is offered completely free of charge. We receive no Government funding. Therefore, your kindness and generosity make a real difference and helps to ensure that more people living with MS in the UK have access to an MS nurse; ensuring they do not face their MS alone, today and in the future.
On behalf of our staff, volunteers and service users, thank you for your amazing support.
With very best wishes
Rob Carter
