Moving A Classroom & Providing a Veterinary Clinic

We sincerely thank all GlobalGiving donors for their generous support towards the relocation of Colobus Conservation. Your continued contributions are playing a vital role in helping us prepare for the safe transition of our conservation education and veterinary operations to our new site.

Funds Raised So Far

Through GlobalGiving, we have successfully raised USD 6,541 towards our relocation goal of USD 17,000. This represents approximately 38.5% of our fundraising target and marks important progress towards ensuring the continuity of our conservation work.

Every contribution brings us closer to establishing functional education and veterinary facilities where we can continue caring for rescued primates, delivering conservation education, and engaging local communities.

Current Status of Relocation

Planning and coordination are ongoing to ensure that the transition of our education and veterinary operations is carried out effectively and with minimal disruption to our programs.

The funds raised are helping us prepare for key components of the relocation.

Remaining Funding Gap

To reach our USD 17,000 fundraising goal and support the relocation and establishment of both the conservation education classroom and veterinary clinic, we still need to raise USD 10,459.

Securing the remaining funds will help us to safely relocate essential equipment, establish functional facilities at the new site, and ensure the continued delivery of our conservation programmes.

With the support of our donors, we will be able to:

• Re-establish our conservation education programmes for schools and local communities
• Provide continued veterinary treatment and rehabilitation for injured, orphaned, and rescued primates
• Support the safe release of rehabilitated primates back into the wild
• Continue community outreach and human–wildlife coexistence initiatives
• Strengthen our long-term capacity to protect primates and their habitats

Looking Ahead

The relocation represents an important step towards securing the long-term future of Colobus Conservation and strengthening our ability to protect primates and their habitats along Kenya’s South Coast.

While we have made encouraging progress, there is still more work to be done. We remain committed to using the support entrusted to us responsibly and to keeping our donors updated as the relocation progresses.
