Moving A Classroom & Providing a Veterinary Clinic

We sincerely thank all GlobalGiving donors for their generous support towards the relocation of Colobus Conservation. Your contributions are playing a vital role in helping us prepare for the safe transition of our conservation, education, and veterinary operations to a new site.

Funds Raised So Far

Through GlobalGiving, we have successfully raised USD 5,528 towards the relocation goal of USD 17,000.
This represents an important milestone that is helping us move closer to ensuring continuity of our conservation work.

Current Status of Relocation

Although the physical relocation has not yet taken place, significant preparatory steps are ongoing. These include planning for transport logistics, assessment of infrastructure needs at the new site, and identification of priority materials and equipment required to re-establish operations.

The funds raised so far are being carefully allocated to support key relocation components, including:

• Transportation of educational materials and conservation displays
• Preparation and repair of classroom and veterinary spaces at the new site
• Procurement of essential learning tools and veterinary equipment
• Logistical planning for dismantling, transportation, and reassembly
• Utility installation planning to ensure the new facilities become fully operational

Remaining Funding Gap

To complete the relocation and ensure that both the conservation education classroom and veterinary unit are fully functional, we still need to raise USD 11,472.

Securing the remaining funds will enable us to:

• Safely move rescued primates and essential equipment
• Re-establish conservation education programs for schools and communities
• Continue veterinary care, rehabilitation, and release activities without interruption
• Maintain community outreach and human–wildlife coexistence initiatives

The relocation is a critical step in strengthening Colobus Conservation’s long-term impact in protecting primates and their habitats along Kenya’s South Coast. We remain committed to updating our supporters as progress continues.
