Dear Supporters,
The 12 coatis and Ivan the tayra are now enjoying their new Small Animals Area at Jacj Cuisi! Your donations and a grant from the Brigitte Bardot Foundation made this possible – thank you! We hope to still add more runners and garden areas later on, but it’s a good start.
The route from Machia to Jacj Cuisi is in better condition and the journey was made in record time - just over 24 hours. Great news for the rest of the animals who still need to make the trek.
The next priority is the Capuchin Monkey Area. This will be the biggest area and therefore the most expensive to build. The 5 capuchin areas of Machia (Mirador 1, Mirador 2, Cielo, Tierra, and Clinic) will transfer to 4 capuchin areas at Jacj Cuisi. We need to raise $27,528 to build Mirador 1 for the first group. (Name subject to change.)
Please remember this project when Giving Tuesday comes along at the end of the month. You can help earn matching funds on November 29.
In the meantime, be sure to follow CIWY on facebook and Instagram to keep up with the latest developments and updates on the beautiful animals that YOU helped rescue.
Kindest regards,
Friends of Inti Wara Yassi
