Dear Supporters,
The move from Machia to Jacj Cuisi is underway!
The “A-Team” of albifrons (white-fronted capuchin monkeys) have adjusted fantastically to their new peaceful surroundings at Jacj Cuisi. Some of their group dynamics have changed and two of the females who used to pull their fur in stress at Machia have regrown healthy coats. YOU helped make this possible. THANK YOU!
Construction has started on the Spider Monkey Area, and if all goes well the spider monkeys will move in December. This means that we also need to have living accommodations ready for staff and volunteers by December. One big problem: we don’t have enough money!
You’ve contributed over $11,000 towards this project, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation has given $13,000, and the International Primate Protection League has contributed $5,000 towards the Spider Monkey enclosure.
We need to raise roughly $15,000 more by December to stay on track.
Some great news: when this page reaches £10,000 ($13,500 USD), a donor in the UK has offered to match it with another £10,000! That would bring us to our goal for the year!
Can you help us raise $2,120 this month?
With gratitude,
The CIWY and FIWY teams
