Project Report | Aug 20, 2026
Service Report July-September_2025

By S.M.Faysel | Officer-ICT

Mountain of Light is a visionary mission born from the heart of a 10th-grade student who saw a brutal injustice and refused to look away. Driven by a dream to become a reconstructive plastic surgeon, Kohinoor partnered with the Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) to build something revolutionary: a lasting fortress of healing that combines world-class medical care with total institutional independence.

This project is leading the way in how the world treats, heals, and rehabilitates victims of burn violence. Following a strict model of compassionate care, burn violence survivors and their families never receive a bill from ASF for surgeries, specialized medicine, psychological care, or long-term housing. By removing the crushing weight of medical debt, we ensure they can focus entirely on reclaiming their lives.

To make this promise permanent, Mountain of Light does not rely solely on traditional, temporary aid. Instead, we invest in a sustainable, independent social enterprise model—funding the production of specialized pressure garments that generate ongoing revenue for ASF. This virtuous economic cycle turns your one-time donation into an engine for lifelong care.

We are also open to in-kind donations. If you or your organization are able to contribute medical-grade pressure garment fabric directly, we welcome shipments from outside Bangladesh. This partnership opportunity allows you to support our mission in a tangible, hands-on way—whether through financial investment or direct material contribution. Please contact us at ed@acidsurvivors.org for more info.

The goal of $50,000 will not only expand this garment production model but also modernize ASF's healthcare infrastructure—including a dedicated ambulance, advanced hospital beds, operating theater instruments, and patient management software—to build a permanent shield for the most vulnerable.
